Stressed out

Day 3 of week 2 in surgery. Aprox. 5 weeks till DOOMS DAY!

Monday was great especially after a good R&R in Auckland when I should be doing some studying. My team was on acutes on Monday. I've never been so hard out in any of my runs before. I was in the theatre helping out my reg till 1am. Okie I admit I'm feeling a little proud but then again where is my priority?

That is always the problem with me. Crucial time coming up and time is getting shorter by the day.........and what am I doin? Blogging. Anyway I'm keeping it short so as to let others know that I'm still alive.

Weekend in Auckland

Its already sunday morning.

After a long n tiring work of cleaning up the corridor of cake. Its time to drink in celebration of Kitc's & Abhi's bday. But first kitc has to take a bath so I'm here filling up this semi-dead blog.

I've been in Hamilton the whole week and 5 more to go. I am doin the surgery posting now and gosh am I lucky haha....I neva thought there were any HOT DOCS!! Wait a minute there was one when I was in ED. Well early morning ward rounds are no longer dreary *wink*wink* as compared to the testosterone-flooded osthopaedics ward rounds.

I've always been fascinated with surgery....and its thru surgeons just love to cut n scoop up parts of the body & yes yes..physicians n surgeons will always have their rivalry. I had just done my General Med run b4 this and so when I was doing "my systematic examination" on a patient in front of my consultant....guess wat?!??! What i was doing isn't appropriate! And here goes the story of how surgeons do not hv as much time as physicians to hold a patient's hand to examine and give time for grass to grow.

Now my room has the "cake n wet carpet" smell. The b'day boy decided on stuffin cake under my door n wiping his ass on the door.

Semi - Productive Day

I got Park Road flats for next year!

Just received the email from the Accommodation Office today. Well it doesn't to be such a big deal...but felt like as if I have 1 burden less now. At least I would not need worry bout my accommodation for next year & no more Grafton food. That's if I do get thru and decide to cont'd on this tortuous journey of the medical profession.

I hate it when I have to make plans and decisions for next year when I am not even certain or confident enauf to be able to make it thru this year. In 5th year, we have a 4-weeks selective to do and we can either organise by ourselves or pick from a list. I choose the former as there is no way I would get my choice if I have picked from the list. It goes by preference. So you see, "we - the Malaysian" are the outsiders, 2nd class and usually get the lousy bits. Today is the last day to submit our choice and as usual we aren't bothered except me. I have been busy with thinking of where to do it - South Island or Malaysia.

I'm not much of a planner, my previous plans have always foiled. Hence, I guess its always better to go by this Chinese saying "see 1 step, take 1 step".

Its been awhile since I've walked down to Queen's street. Went out to the city with Wen Chow & Yvonne & their IH friends.
-MISSION 1-

-MISSION FAILED-

-MISSION 3-
I split up from the group and went to shop on my own. Headed to the only shop that I would frequently revisit to check out for new "stock". Its not some sex shop or Pokaemon trading cards shop. After countless drop-ins to IONIC, this was going to be the 2nd time I've bought something! haha I'm picky but yet willing to spend...lolz
